Former Director Jack Wiedabach's entire inkwell collection of over 2,000 inkwells and inkstands was auctioned through Schrager Auction Galleries Ltd. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 9, 2008.

Jack's collection was extensive, and was featured in many articles in The Stained Finger and other popular antiques newspapers and magazines (several found in the Library), as well as in a DVD put together by the Wisconsin Antique Dealers Association. Charles "Buck" Van Tine Passes Away (1-18-08)
Buck Van Tine, SOIC Executive Director from 2002 - 2007, passed away Tuesday, Jan 15, having fought brain cancer since his diagnosis in July (see his Executive Director's Message in the Summer 2007 issue of The Stained Finger). It is an understatement to say that Buck's leadership and friendship will be missed by many. His obituary, photos, bio, and more is available on Making Everlasting Memories (type in "Van Tine" in the "Last Name" box, and then choose Buck from the results).
